DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF SUPPLIES & DISPOSALS (DGS&D)

C1 India is also implementing e-procurement solution for Directorate General of Supplies & Disposals (DGS&D). DGS&D is a central Govt. body entrusted with entering into rate contracts with vendors on behalf of other Central Govt. Organisations. Over 10,000 suppliers participate in this procurement annually. C1 India has also won the 'Bronze Icon' Award for 'Exemplary Leadership and ICT Achievement of the year' for its project for DGS&D, at the 8th National Conference on e-Governance.

C1 India has setup an e-tendering platform (https://dgsnd.govtprocurement.com ) for all 8 directorates. The e-procurement project in DGS&D has achieved following milestones:

	The e-tendering application has been successfully audited by STQC on various security concerns
	The e-tendering application has gone live in 7 directorates namely Information Technology(IT), Paper & Paper Products(PP), Works and Machine Tool(WMT), Steel & Cement(SC), Electrical Store (ES), Mechanical Engineering(ME) and Structural Directorate(ST).
	The processing time for tenders have been reduced drastically in tenders which have been processed through online tendering vis a vis the same processed through traditional tendering process.
	Increased transparency as bids are opened online and bid opening is visible to all the suppliers online. The system has reduced subjectivity from tender evaluation by building smart forms that do preliminary technical evaluation of bids.

Some of the highlights of this project are
	Electronic Tendering to Invite Suppliers across India to Bid On line for Rate Contracts.
	On line Publishing of the Rate Contracts
	Enablement of over 7000 Rate Contract Suppliers for PSUs/Central Govt. organisations/ State Governments to place direct Supply order on them.
