Tenders worth Rs 15,000 crore were processed under the project including high value irrigation tenders worth Rs. 12,000 crore. The project went on to win several awards – National “Golden Icon” Award for Exemplary Implementation of an e-Governance Project in the country (2004), PC Quest’s ‘Best IT Implementation’ Award (2005), NASSCOM India IT User Award (2006), ‘United Nations Public Service Award’ (2007) and Harvard University’s ‘Ash Institute’ award for most innovative program (2007). The implementation of e-tendering portal for 55 ministries and government entities of the Sultanate of Oman helped us win the Best e-Governance implementation Award (2013) among GCC countries.
