About the Project

Tender Board of Sultanate of Oman wanted a centralized common tendering platform for all the 55 ministries and government entities. The main objectives were – 24/7 availability of the e-Tendering platform for accessing tender details and bid submissions, online Pre-bid clarification through clarifications interface, cash less transactions to facilitate all payments in E-Tendering system through the e-Payment gateway of Information Technology Authority under Sultanate of Oman, paper-less e-Tendering management system and post bid online clarifications.C1 India delivered the e-Tendering application with 5 major modules – registration module, tender creation and publication module, online bid submission module, tender opening and evaluation module, BI reporting module, contract management module, and contractor database module.

Beyond saving cost and time, Sultanate of Oman was benefitted by the availability of entire information at a click, reduction in advertising costs, printing and publishing of tenders and elimination of middlemen, which were not adding value in the supply chain.

The Result

85 projects from the GCC countries competed for the top place at the second Gulf e-Government awards in 2013. The e-Tendering system delivered by C1 India for the Tender Board of Sultanate of Oman won the Best e-Governance Implementation Award.
